Obituary of Naomi J. Tillison

Namoi June Tillison, much beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, was gathered to her close kin peacefully on January 13, 2021 at the Palatine Nursing Home in Palatine Bridge, NY, where she was a much-loved resident.
She was born on March 1, 1941 in Cobleskill, NY to Earl Tillison Sr. and Viola Pierce, and attended school in Cobleskill before moving to Fonda with her family. She graduated from Fonda High School.
Over the years, she lived in Schenectady, Amsterdam, Schoharie, Virginia Beach, and Aiken, South Carolina.
She loved traveling with her son to the ocean beaches of Massachusetts, Virginia and South Carolina. She also enjoyed painting and country rides with her pets.
She retired from Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, then came out of retirement to work for Visiting Nurses as a caregiver.
Naomi is predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Earl Jr., Douglas Lowe, and Richard Tillison; sister, Ula Mae Tillison; and her daughter, Barbara Huntington.
She is survived by her son, Jesse Carouthers; grandson, Ira Huntington; younger sisters, Rose Tillison and Viola Satterlee, and nieces.
Naomi was a delight to those who knew her, and her gentle, loving soul will be greatly missed.
