Mr. Ronald E. Cook, Sr., aka, Cookie the Junk Man, 84, of Fonda/Yosts died Monday, December 28, 2020 at Palatine Nursing Home.
Born on January 27, 1936 in Gloversville, NY, he was the son of Reginald Cook and Ruth Blood Cook. He had been a resident of the local area most of his life.
He worked at many Leather Mills in Gloversville and Johnstown, NY as a flesher.
Mr. Cook traveled most of the United States before marrying and having his son.
In 1976 Ronald was married to Linda. She was the love of his life and soul mate. Linda predeceased Ronald. His parents; brother, Richard Cook; and sister, Roselyn Cook also predeceased him.
Mr. Cook is survived by his son, Ronald E. “Chip” Cook, Jr. and Sarah “Becky”’; sister, Carole Florence; 5 grandchildren, Bethany, Abigail, Moriah, Sarah, David; great-grandchildren, Hazel (Hazelnut), and Jordan.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date once the Covid restrictions are lifted.
