Mr. Harold L. Lake, 72, of Kirby Street, Saratoga Springs, New York died Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Saratoga Hospital.
Born on April 17, 1948 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Churchill Lake and Alice Brown Lake. He was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, Class of 1966 and attended SMU. He had been a resident of the Fort Plain area most of his life, residing in Saratoga Springs for the past 3 years.
He retired from the Travel industry.
He was an active member of the Fort Plain United Methodist Church.
Harold was a lifetime member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was a history buff. He loved spending time with his grandkids and enjoyed watching the Mets with his grandmother as well as the Dallas Cowboys “HTTR”.
His parents predeceased him.
Mr. Lake is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Delaney (Bob); sons, Christopher (Melanie) Lake, Dr. Jeffrey (Renzie D.) Lake; sister, Karen Hawes, Jude VonWellsheim; grandchildren, Cattarina, Tyler, Joseph, Eric, and Zoe; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 3:00PM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00-3:00PM on Saturday at the funeral home. We ask anyone in attendance to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
