Mrs. Cynthia L. Smith, 49, of Snells Bush Road, Little Falls, New York died, Friday, March 4, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital following a long illness. Born on February 21, 1962 in Ilion, NY, she was the daughter of Malcolm J. Cook and Leona Becker Cook. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, class of 1980 and was a lifetime area resident. Cindy worked in the receiving department at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Johnstown, NY, for 12 years, previously working at Johnstown Knit for over 10 years. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Canajoharie. She loved gardening and her cats. Mrs. Smith enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. On July 22, 2000 at the Methodist Church in St. Johnsville Cindy was married to William E. Smith. She was predeceased by her father, Malcolm J. Cook. Cindy is survived by her mother, Leona Becker Cook of Fort Plain, NY; husband, William E. Smith of Little Falls, NY; son, Craig Ambridge of St. Johnsville, NY; daughter, Heather Blowers of Little Falls, NY; sisters, Carol Barnes of Rochester, NY, Kim Liddon of Canajoharie, NY; brother, Donald Cramer of Nelliston, NY; 5 grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
