Mrs. Hazel R. Dingman, 81 years old, formerly of Dingman Road, Fort Plain, NY passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Nathan Littauer Hospital following a long illness.
Mrs. Dingman was born on July 15, 1929 in Canajoharie, NY. She was the daughter of Morgan Dingman and Mable Edgetatin Dingman. She was educated in the Canajoharie area schools. She was a homemaker in Fort Plain and life-long area resident. Mrs. Dingman was a member of the Canajoharie United Methodist Church. She was a member of the South Minden Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and also a charter member of the Fort Plain American Legion Post 554 Ladies Auxiliary.
On December 6, 1946 she married Edward E. Dingman in Fort Plain, NY who predeceased Mrs. Dingman on October 14, 2004. Mrs. Dingman is also predeceased by her brother Bradley Dingman and sisters: Rose Taylor, Martha Foster and Margaret Ibara. Mrs. Dingman is survived by her sister, Mary Vosburgh, from Oklahoma, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 11 AM at the Fort Plain Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Wayne Cole. Arrangements entrusted to Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY.
