Obituary of Agnes Eva Lennon

Mrs. Agnes Eva Lennon, 71, of St. Hwy. 349, Gloversville, New York, went to Heaven on April 13, 2011 following her stay at St. John's Regional Hospital, Springfield, MO. Born on July 13, 1939 in Queens, New York City, NY, she was the daughter of Alexander Ulmer and Katherine Kupilles Ulmer. She attended Grover Cleveland High School in Maspeth, NY. She had been a resident of Gloversville for the past 35 years, previously residing in Queens, New York City. Mrs. Lennon was a loving and devoted mother and homemaker, statistical typist, and vice-president and secretary of Lennon's Power Equipment. She was of Full Gospel Christian faith. She also taught children's Sunday school at a number of churches where she was a member over the years. Mrs. Lennon enjoyed helping people, spending time with family and shopping. On January 23, 1965 in Elmhurst, Queens, Agnes married Mr. Norman B. Lennon. Together they celebrated 46 years of marriage. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Frank Ulmer. Mrs. Lennon is survived by her husband, Norman B. Lennon of Gloversville, NY; 3 sons, Douglas N. Lennon and Michele of Gloversville, NY, Ronald B. Lennon and Kirsten of Gloversville, NY, Daniel D. Lennon and Desiree of Broadalbin, NY; granddaughter, Katherine M. Lennon of Gloversville, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 4:00pm at the Kingsboro Assembly of God, 255 N. Kingsboro Ave., Gloversville, NY 12078 with Rev. Matthew Splittgerber officiating.
