Obituary of Craig A. Robinson

Mr. Craig A. Robinson, 56, of Carlisle Road, Sprakers, New York died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at his home, following a short illness. Born on August 31, 1959 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of Roscoe N. Robinson, Jr. and Victoria M. Walker Robinson. He attended Canajoharie Central School and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Robinson was a packer for Liberty Enterprise in Amsterdam, NY, a job he greatly enjoyed. He attended Faith Bible Church. Craig loved music, and going for rides in the car. He was an all around sports fan. His father predeceased him June 5, 2004. He was also predeceased by his brother, Lewis Nelson Robinson. Mr. Robinson is survived by his mother, Victoria Robinson of Sprakers, NY; 2 brothers, Roscoe Lee Robinson of Howes Caves, NY, Douglas Stanley Robinson of Amsterdam, NY; 2 sisters, Carol Ann Robinson-Bartlett of Sprakers, NY, Marilyn Kay Dzikas of Sarasota, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 1:00pm at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mr. Craig A. Robinson may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, NY 12078.
