Obituary of Jennie J. Tabor

Mrs. Jennie J. Tabor, 95, of Crouse Street, Fort Plain, New York died, Monday, June 20, 2011 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown. Born on December 1, 1915 in Manheim, NY, she was the daughter of Charles Krasko and Anna Lesznzinska Krasko. She was a graduate of Paradise Country School in Paradise, NY. She had been a resident of the Fort Plain area most of her life. Mrs. Tabor was the proprietor of the former Mohawk Valley Aquarium Pet Store in Fort Plain for approximately 15 years. She was then employed for about 12 years at Daniel Green of Dolgeville prior to her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the Fort Plain Reformed Church. Mrs. Tabor was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fort Plain Fire Department and a member of the County Ladies Auxiliary of the Montgomery County Fireman's Association. Mrs. Tabor is survived by her son, Paul Tabor of Easton, PA; daughter, Marilynn and Milford Dygert of Rochester, NY; 2 brothers, Joseph Krasko, Raymond Krasko; 3 sisters, Stella Quam, Betty Colony, Frances Cook; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Noon at the Chapel of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339 with Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 24 from 10:00-12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Fort Plain Cemetery.
