Obituary of David C. Pollock

Mr. David C. Pollock, 68, of Williams Street, St. Johnsville, New York died, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Little Falls Hospital. Born on May 8, 1943 in Mohawk, NY, he was the son of Earl Pollock and Camille Warner Pollock. Mr. Pollock was a graduate of Fonda-Fultonville School and had been a resident of St. Johnsville for 34 years. Mr. Pollock started working with Beech-Nut at the candy manufacturing plant. He served in the US Army from 1962-1965. Mr. Pollock enjoyed crossword puzzles. In June 1974, David was married to Janet Loccia at St. Patrick's Church in St. Johnsville, NY. She preceded him in death on February 21, 1996. He is also predeceased by his sisters, Barbara and Alice. Mr. Pollock is survived by his son, Jason M. and Amanda Pollock of St. Johnsville, NY; 5 brothers, Kenneth of Sarasota, FL, Donald of Melbourne, FL, Paul of Auriesville, NY, Richard of Fonda, NY, Warren of Johnstown, NY; 3 sisters, Virginia of Johnstown, NY, Norma of Fonda, NY, Charlene of Fonda, NY; granddaughter, Nicole Pollock of Sharon Springs, NY; step-grandson Austin Todd of St. Johnsville, NY. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 2:00pm at Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY with Rev. Kenneth Dingman officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Village of St. Johnsville Cemetery.
