Mrs. Kim Elaine Stone, 58, of Division Street, Fort Plain, New York died, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born on May 14, 1953 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Kenneth Bowley and Dorcas Sanders Bowley. She was a graduate of St. Johnsville School. Mrs. Stone resided in Pittsfield, MA for 20 years, later returning to Fort Plain. Kim was a mother and homemaker. She was of Christian Faith and was a member of Faith, Hope & Love Christian Fellowship. On March 23, 1985 in Pittsfield, MA, Kim was married to Peter Stone, II. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1997. She was also predeceased by her brother, Richard Bowley; 3 sisters, Melody, Debbie and Michelle. Mrs. Stone is survived by her mother, Dorcas Bowley of Palatine Bridge, NY; father, Kenneth Bowley of Sprakers, NY; 2 daughters, Mary Rathbun of Canajoharie, NY, Lisa Walther of St. Johnsville, NY; son, Peter Stone, III of Fort Plain, NY; 3 step-sons, Donald Stone, Paul Hewitt, Dakin Stone; 2 step-daughters, Joanne Stone, Ella Stone; 4 brothers, Daniel Bowley of Fort Plain, NY, David Bowley of Palatine Bridge, NY, Shane Bowley of Fort Plain, NY, Kenneth Bowley of Fort Plain, NY; sister, Denis Carter of Mayfield, NY; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 10:00am at Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339 with Rev. Kenneth Dingman officiating.
