To the Hodge family,
I wanted to pass my heart felt loss of a great person and man that influenced my life. Ronnie was always in my thoughts thru many days of my life, I spent a lot of time with him and his family in my summers during high school working on the farm. Only have great thoughts of those days, Ronnie was a great mentor and loved his passion for hard work and hard fun! He came to Canajo Football games and always spoke with him after the games, I really enjoyed that he came. Ronnie I will always have good thoughts and a smile of all the stories I have stored away my time with a great man.

Ronnie was my idea of what a perfect farmer should be. He was a good steward of the land, loved his herd, and accepted the hard work and dedication of his chosen life. I loved when Mom sent us down to Ronnie ‘s to get a dozen ears of the best sweet corn. As a little kid I was thrilled to wave to him when his big tractor went by our house to one of his fields. And then I was able to take my own children down to see Ronnie’s cows when we visited Ames. Another generation was introduced to the perfect farmer. Thank you Ronnie for the wonderful memories.

Hello!!Hello Uncle Ronnie it's PATTY!! .....Patty??What are you doing back here again!! This is how our since the 80's relationship has been ,always catching up and enjoying the laughter of looking back. Brother's down the road....... Dad and you were always in many ways very different but then again in some ways very much alike. His deep honor of hard work ethics,understanding a country life how harsh it can be yet how amazingly beautiful other times. Putting you two together in my youth till 21 gave me a lot to enjoy and learn, a good balance for any child to explore..........and THAT we did!!!lolol The Farm when Papa Fay was alive was our second home because our first was BORINGGGGG..really, Shunk rd vs THE FARM get real!! Baby cats to find each spring in the loft...the smells of CORN in the silo ....animals,cousins playing outside,Gramma Nellie making homemade- everything esp. blk&wht half moon cookies,lemon meringue pies OMG!!!I loved walking a few houses before the farm having the air start smelling the wild lilac trees .... that intertwined right in front of Grammas side you just floated there by sweet air at times..... or if you were out fertilizing like !@##@! crap lol. .....loved the JOKES you would play on us and not so loved the trouble we would get into and OUT!!!lol Just think of all the things you didn't catch ....... I really could write a book...but let's just end with this.
Please note the very young picture of me on the bottom/ middle ....see that twinkle ...yes, I inherited this attitude all my life also and what a great adventure that has been...........missing you already with a very heavy Heart & tear till we meet again up on the hill that I take pride in caring for will keep an eye on your's now..... you, me & Dad and the" HODGE family"... where, someday I will rest also.........HOME is really where our root's and Heart belong........At lease for this Old Queen, AMES NY ...
