Mr. Stanley Wichowsky, 85, of Moyer Road, Fort Plain, New York died, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at his home.
Born on July 23, 1926 in Frankfort, NY, he was the son of Vito Wichowsky and Dorothy Anteonvitch Wichowsky. He was a graduate of Van Hornesville Central School and was an area resident most of his life.
Mr. Wichowsky was the Owner and Operator of Wicho Farms in the Town of Stark since 1953. He was known for his award winning registered Holsteins and was featured in Heards Dairyman Magazine.
He was of Catholic faith.
Mr. Wichowsky is predeceased by his brothers, Vito Wichowsky, Jr., Leo Wichowsky and granddaughter, Andra Carpenter.
Mr. Wichowsky is survived by his son, John and Theresa Wichowsky of East Amherst, NY; daughter, Jo Ann Kraft of Zephyrhills, NY; sister, Helen Wichowsky of California; brothers, Andrew Wichowsky of Tacoma, WA, Peter Wick of Colonie, NY; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY with Father Dennis Murphy officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 3:00-5:00pm at Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frankfort, NY.
