Obituary of Carol Lynn Dillenbeck

Mrs. Carol Lynn Dillenbeck, 46, of Fort Plain, New York passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012. She was born on January 8, 1966 in Little Falls, NY, and was the daughter of Howard VanDycke and Dulcie Hart VanDycke. Carol was a member of the Fort Plain Reformed Church, where she also worked as the custodian. She was hard working and loved giving to and helping others, which included working to help provide the Manna House meals at the church. She loved taking care of and playing with her granddaughter, Madison. Mrs. Dillenbeck was predeceased by her 2 sisters, Dolores VanDycke and Helen VanDycke. Carol is survived by her husband, Chester Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY; 2 daughters, Jessica Lynn Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY, Sarah M. Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY; son, Edward Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY; 4 step-sons, Chester Dillenbeck, Jr., Russell Dillenbeck, George Dillenbeck, David Dillenbeck; 2 brothers, Howard VanDycke, Jr. of Fonda, NY, Edward VanDycke of OK; 4 sisters, Verna Allen of St. Johnsville, NY, Elizabeth Mangold of St. Johnsville, NY, Sarah VanAvery of Fort Plain, NY, Jennifer Pollard of Frankfort, NY; 2 grandchildren, Zanith Longfellow of Amsterdam, NY, Madison Lewis of Fort Plain, NY; 9 step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 7:00pm at the Chapel of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY with Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating.
