Obituary of Tommy R. Rachon

Mr. Tommy R. Rachon, 31, of St. Hwy. 163, Canajoharie, New York died Friday, April 26, 2013 at St. Johnsville Rehab & Nursing Center with his family by his side, following a long battle with cancer. Born on April 19, 1982 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Edward W. Rachon, Jr. and Susan Voght Rachon. He attended Cherry Valley High School and was a lifetime area resident. Tommy was a member of the Mountain Man Hunting Club. He enjoyed snowmobiles and diesel Ford Trucks. Tommy is survived by his father, Edward W. Rachon, Jr. and Caroline Swartz of Canajoharie, NY; mother, Sue Voght Rachon and Doug Palmateer of Fort Plain, NY; daughter, Reagan Rachon of Gloversville, NY; 3 brothers, Ray Rachon of Canajoharie, NY, Edward W. and Jenni Rachon of Little Falls, NY, Chad Rachon of Fort Plain, NY; sister, Marie and Mike Stephens of Fort Plain, NY; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 10:00am at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317 with Rev. Zach Labagh officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Canajoharie Falls Cemetery.
