Obituary of Sue L. Burt

Mrs. Sue L. Burt, 75, of Spring Street, Fort Plain, New York died Friday, August 2, 2013 at her home. Born on July 29, 1938 in Lancaster, Ohio, she was the daughter of David M. Lollis, Sr. and Vira Brown Lollis. She attended Ohio University in Athens, OH and had been a local area resident since 1988. On June 2, 1958, Sue was married to Henry M. Burt. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1976. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Sherman and Edward Lollis. Mrs. Burt enjoyed needle point and making jams. She was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed her scottys and pugs. She was a member of the Tantasqua Regional School Committee and PTA. Sue was also a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and Church Librarian in Farmington, CT. Mrs. Burt is survived by her sons, Henry M. Burt of Fort Plain, NY, David L. Burt of Malta, NY; daughter, Laurie Anne Burt of Fort Plain, NY; brother, David Lollis, Jr. of Melbourne, FL; grandson, Nickolaus N. Lilly of Sprakers, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be announced at a future date. Arrangements are under the direction of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
