Miss Ednamae Loring, 70, of Darlene Drive, Fort Johnson, New York, died early Sunday morning, October 13, 2013 at St. Mary's Healthcare of Amsterdam.
Ednamae was born on June 20, 1943 in Amsterdam, NY, the daughter of the late Harry A. and Florence Russ Loring. Ednamae had been a local area resident all her life. She had started working with the Liberty program in 1972 and continued working there until the present.
She was of Methodist faith.
Miss Loring had been a participant in the Special Olympics and enjoyed bowling.
Ednamae was predeceased by her parents and her 3 brothers, Walter, Rodney and her baby brother, Robert Loring.
She is survived by her brothers, Albert Loring of St. Johnsville, NY, David Loring of Nelliston, NY, Donald Loring of Herkimer, NY; sister, Dorothy Dingman of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, 1 great-great niece and many cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 10:00am at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317 with R.W. Williams officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 9:00-10:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ames Cemetery.
