Mrs. Edna A. Rogers, 90, of Fiery Hill Road, Fort Plain, New York died Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Johnsville Rehab & Nursing Center.
Born on August 1, 1923 in the Town of Stark, she was the daughter of Clark Suits and M. Amelia Gregory Suits. She was a graduate of VanHornesville School and was a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Rogers and her husband, Raymond owned and operated Lilac Lawn Dairy Farm in the Town of Stark for many years. Following her husband's death she continued the operation of the farm.
She was an active member of the former Starkville United Methodist Church and was a former member of the United Methodist Women's Group.
Mrs. Rogers enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, cooking and embroidering.
On November 9, 1946 in Fort Plain, NY, Edna was married to Raymond J. Rogers. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1997. She was also predeceased by her brother, James C. Suits, & Son in Law Randy Jackson.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her 2 sons, Richard J. and Lynn Rogers, Sr. of Fort Plain, NY , Bernard J. and Raenette Rogers, Sr. of PA; daughter, Linda S. Jackson of Fort Plain, NY; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, 2 Great, Great Grandchildren.
