Mrs. Angeline T. "Angie" Williams, 83, of Trailer Street, Palatine Bridge, New York died Monday, April 14, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.
Born on October 15, 1930 in Canajoharie, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph Fiacchi and Mary Pelligrini Fiacchi. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1948 and studied Art at the Munson-Williams Proctor School of Art in Utica. She was a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Williams worked as a Lab Technician at Beech-Nut in Canajoharie for over 25 years, retiring in the late 1980s.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and past communicant of the former St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Church.
Angie was a member of the Canajoharie Alter Rosary Society. She enjoyed painting and art and taught art classes at the Fort Plain Senior Center, Arkell Hall and Oppenheim Ephratah Senior Center. She also enjoyed square dancing with Curley Qs and Cross Trails
On December 2, 1950, Angeline was united in marriage to George E. Williams at St. John's & St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Canajoharie.
Mrs. Williams is predeceased by her brothers, William and Norman Fiacchi and sister, Pauline Horning.
She is survived by her husband of over 63 years, George E. Williams of Palatine Bridge, NY; daughter, Susan Null and John McClarren of Fort Plain, NY; son, David Williams and Maggie Spaulding of Clifton Park, NY; brother, Joseph Fiacchi and wife, Betty of MA; sister, Rose Morgan of Fort Plain, NY; grandchildren, Linda Mabie, Candi Bullock, Kayla Mykel, Steven Mykel, Brittany Failing, Derek Williams, Russell Williams, Kyle Williams, Evan Williams; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 9:15am at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Reid Street, Fort Plain with Father Dennis Murphy officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Cemetery.
