Obituary of Henry G. Euler, Jr.

Mr. Henry G. Euler, Jr., 93, of Argusville Road, Sharon Springs, New York passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at Palatine Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 4, 1927 in Long Island, NY, he was the son of Henry G. Euler, Sr. and Jean Fedden Euler. He had been a resident of Sharon Springs since December 1979, previously residing in Latimer Hill (Brown’s Hollow). In his younger years, Henry worked for the construction industry. He served in the US Army during World War II. He then enlisted in the US Navy. He was of Catholic faith in his youth. Mr. Euler was a Teamster Union Member, Local Union #157. He enjoyed collecting stamps, baseball cards, and H.O. Trains, building his own train table. On May 18, 1958 in Fultonville, NY, Henry was married to Harriet Siets. His sisters, Gloria Vacchio, and Evelyn Dolan predeceased him. Mr. Euler is survived by his wife, Harriet Euler; 6 sons, George Euler and Helen, Larry Euler and Barbara, Richard Euler and Nell, Dennis Euler and Kim, Gene Euler, Ronald Euler and Cherish; sister, Dottie Tatem; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; dog, Sparky; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 11:00AM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Mr. Henry G.
