Joseph A. Hogan, Sr.
Mr. Joseph A. Hogan, Sr., 66, of State Highway 163, Fort Plain, New York died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his home.
Born on November 18, 1953 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Leonard Hogan and Mary Hibbard Hogan. He attended West Canada and Fort Plain Schools and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Hogan was a Cook at Beech-Nut from 1977 until his retirement in 2016.
He was a member of the Baker’s and Confectionary Union. He enjoyed going to the Casino, sitting on his deck watching the birds, and eating Chocolate Cake, Apple Pie, and Reese Peanut Butter Cups.
On September 11, 2010 in Little Falls, NY, Joseph was married to Lisha Travis, at her brother’s home.
His first wife, Kathleen H. “Kathy” Hogan predeceased him on December 27, 2008. His brothers, Jim Hogan, Ronald Hogan; and sister, Jean Hazzard also predeceased him.
Mr. Hogan is survived by his wife, Lisha Hogan of Fort Plain, NY; son, Joseph A. and Beth Hogan, Jr.; daughters, Tanya Hogan of Canajoharie, NY, Joleen Cody of Rockwood, NY, Wendy Redner of Ilion, NY; step-children, Melissa Harrington of Fort Plain, NY, Kayla Harrington of Ilion, NY, Danielle Harrington of Fort Plain, NY; sisters, Joyce Humphrey of Little Falls, NY, Mary Hogan of Little Falls, NY; brother, Gary Hogan of St. Johnsville, NY; 9 grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; his best friend, “Little Man” Tobi; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 1:00PM at Freysbush Cemetery in Fort Plain, NY.
