Obituary of Jason Adam Olin

Mr. Jason Adam Olin, 39, of Palatine Church Road, Fort Plain, New York passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 22, 2019.

Born on October 25, 1979 in Willingboro, New Jersey, he was the son of Mark F. Olin and Carolyn R. Albert Ferguson.  He was a graduate of Thousand Island High School in Clayton, NY, Class of 1998 and he attended Alfred State University.  He had been a resident of New York State since 1990.

Jason was an Eagle Scout, earning his badge in 1995.  He earned the Order of The Arrow, and attended Philmont and the National Boy Scout Jamboree. Jason enjoyed working with his hands doing masonry work, as well as landscaping, specializing in stone work.  He loved golfing, bowling, downhill skiing, and baseball. He had a great sense of humor, was kind spirited and had a gentle soul.

He was predeceased by his beloved step-father, Greg M. Ferguson; maternal grandmother, Ruth E. Albert; and paternal grandfather, John M. Olin.

Jason is survived by his mother, Carolyn R. Albert Ferguson of Fort Plain, NY; grandfather, James E. Albert of Columbus, OH; grandmother, Jane E. Esposito and Angelo of Seneca Falls, NY; sisters, Anna M. Richter and Caleb of Watertown, NY, Lyndsay E. Stein and Josh of Niskayuna, NY; aunts, Karen Pressler and Jack, Cynthia Pence and James, Marybeth Blankenship and Ron; cousins, Mark (Takayo), Angela, Jennifer, Joshua, Matthew, Renee (Andy), Ryan, and Rylie; nieces and nephews, Kayla, CJ, Grace, Ella, Camden Gregory.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 5th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
