Obituary of Chester L. Dillenbeck

Mr. Chester L. Dillenbeck, Sr., 69, of Crouse Street, Fort Plain, New York died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Little Falls Hospital, following a brief illness. Born on December 18, 1944 in Little Falls, NY, he was the son of Leland Dillenbeck and May Ropeter Dillenbeck. He spent most of his life in the Fort Plain area. Mr. Dillenbeck was a truck driver for Arnold Kretser Trucking in Palatine, NY. He loved driving Tractor Trailer. Chester was predeceased by his wife, Carol VanDycke Dillenbeck on July 15, 2012. Together they celebrated over 10 years of marriage. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Lester and Doug. Mr. Dillenbeck is survived by his sons, Chester Dillenbeck, Jr. of Salisbury Center, NY, Russell Dillenbeck of Canajoharie, NY, George Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY, David Dillenbeck of Canajoharie, NY, Edward Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY; daughters, Jessica Lynn Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY, Sarah M. Dillenbeck of Palatine Bridge, NY; sisters, Ester Lawerence, Janet Jasewicz, Sandra Dillenbeck, Linda Dillenbeck; brothers, Carl Dillenbeck, Jim Dillenbeck, Thomas Dillenbeck; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 10:00am at The Chapel of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. Burial will take place in Inghams Mills Cemetery at a later date. Contributions in memory of Mr. Chester L. Dillenbeck, Sr. may be made to the charity of one's choice.
