Obituary of Miss Miriam English

Miss Miriam English, 68, formerly of Otsego Street, Canajoharie, New York died, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Palatine Nursing Home, with her family by her side. Born on May 8, 1946 in Morristown, NJ, she was the daughter of John Murray English and Johanna Foley English. Miriam was a graduate of Morristown High School. She had been a resident of the local area for the past 14 years, previously residing in Morristown, NJ. Miss English was an Office Administrator for Chase Manhattan Bank in Morristown, NJ. She was of Roman Catholic faith. Miriam enjoyed reading. Miss English is survived by her sister, Jill and Chuck Wart of Canajoharie, NY; brother, John M. and Judy English of Arizona; nephew, Fred Horning of Florida; niece, Hannah English of Arizona; great-niece, Shannon and Brandon Hooper of Tyler, TX; several cousins in New Jersey. Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY.
