Obituary of Albert Null

Mr. Albert “Al” Null, 80, of Wagners Hollow Road, Fort Plain, New York, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Little Falls Hospital, with his loving daughters by his side.
Born on September 14, 1937 in The Town of Canajoharie, he was the son of Edward Null and Harriet Aikins Null.
For many years, Al was the owner and operator of Al Null’s Auto Repair in Torrington, CT. He enjoyed being a mechanic. He was especially proud of having his Pilot’s license, flying small planes. Mr. Null also had a Hobby Farm, raising chickens, ducks, pigs, and cows. Al was known as a “Jack of all trades” by his family and friends.
He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1956-58, obtaining the rank of Specialist Fourth Class.
His brother, Edward Null; sisters, Susan A. Smith, Thelma Fredericks, and Bertha Rappa; and nephew, Robert Null predeceased him.
Mr. Null is survived by his daughters, Sarah Null and Fiancé, John Gillette of Little Falls, NY, Jessica Null of Providence, Rhode Island, Terri Ruot of CT; brother, Harold Null and Nancy of Fort Plain, NY; sisters, Alice Yacobucci of Canajoharie, NY, Ruth Youker of Palatine Bridge, NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and last but not least, his beloved dog, Bo.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 13th from 3:00-5:00pm at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
