Obituary of Marguerite R. Brust

Marguerite R. Brust of Canajoharie passed away Wednesday July 5th, 2017 at Palatine Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born June 29, 1921 to Frank and Agatha Cacelino Susi, who both pre-deceased her. Marguerite graduated from Canajoharie High School Class of 1938. Mrs. Brust had been employed at Arkell & Smith Sack Factory and Beech-Nut. She was of Catholic faith, and a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Fort Plain. Mrs. Brust enjoyed golfing, bowling and was an avid card player. She will also be remembered by all who knew her for never losing her sense of humor. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roland L. Coffin, and 9 siblings. She is survived by her son, Gerald B. Coffin and his wife Doris of Mauldin, SC; 2 Grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Family and friends are invited to visitation from 12:00-1:00 on Saturday July 8th, 2017 at the Chapel of Houghtaling and Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY followed by a funeral at 1:00 PM, with Fr. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will take place at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Canajoharie, NY.
