Obituary of Dorothy Booth

Mrs. Dorothy Booth, 79, of Maple Ave., Canajoharie, New York passed away, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. Johnsville Rehab & Nursing Center.
Born on March 10, 1939 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Elmer Robert Mahr and Evelyn H. Christman Mahr. She was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Booth retired from White-Mop Wringer in Fultonville, NY, and had also worked for the Dress Factory in Canajoharie.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Palatine Bridge.
Mrs. Booth was an avid racecar fan, watching NASCAR and attending races at all the local tracks.
Her brother, Charles Mahr predeceased her.
Mrs. Booth is survived by her sons, James R. Booth, IV and Dawn of Canajoharie, NY, Robert and Rebecca Booth of Canajoharie, NY; daughter, Debbie Bartlett of Crossville, TN; brothers, Alton Mahr of Canajoharie, NY, Everett Mahr of SC; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Noon at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, W. Grand Street, Palatine Bridge, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, from 10:00-12:00pm at Kingdom Hall. Burial will take place in Mapletown Cemetery.
