Obituary of Keith P. King

Mr. Keith P. King, 72, of State Highway 80, Fort Plain, New York passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at his home. 

Born on April 7, 1946 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Clifford King and Esther Frederick King.  He was a graduate of Fort Plain High School, Class of 1964.

Mr. King was a lifelong Dairy Farmer, working on his family farm on Pickle Hill Road.  He also worked for Fort Plain School as a custodian from 2002-2010.

He was of Lutheran faith.

Mr. King was a member of the River Valley Toy Tractor Club.  He was an avid fan of the Fort Plain Hilltoppers, keeping records for Baseball and Basketball for over 60 years.  His family and his farm were his greatest treasures.

On April 12, 1975 at The Fort Plain Reformed Church, Keith was married to Judith A. Wheadon.

His parents predeceased him.

Mr. King is survived by his wife, Judith A. King of Fort Plain, NY; sons, Clint and Carolyn King of Fonda, NY, Jason and Katie King of Otego, NY; daughter, Jessica and Thomas Smith, Jr. of Massena, NY; grandchildren, Tyler and Mason King of Otego, NY; sister, Janet Sobiech of Johnson City, NY; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; several cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Noon at The Chapel of Gray-Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 11:00-12:00PM at the funeral home.
