Obituary of Charles Miller Tinc

Mr. Charles Miller Tinc, 78, of Rappa Road, Sprakers, New York passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer.

Born on December 14, 1939 in Dover, New Jersey, he was the son of Joseph Tinc and Hazel Miller Tinc.  He was a graduate of Hackettstown, NJ, Class of 1958.  He won the award of New Jersey State FFA Farmer.  He had been a resident of the local area since 1977, previously residing in New Jersey.

Charles and his brother owned Don-Cha farm in Hackettstown, NJ.  He then went on to become owner and operator of his milk hauling business in New Jersey and Upstate New York.

He was a member of the Morris County Board of Agriculture in NJ.

On May 13, 1972 at The Tranquility Methodist Church in Tranquility, NJ Charles was married to Joanne Gibbs.  Together they celebrated 46 years of marriage.

His brother, Donald Tinc, sister, Carolyn Tinc and parents predeceased him.

Mr. Tinc is survived by his wife, Joanne Tinc of Sprakers, NY; 2 sons, Lyman Tinc of Saratoga, NY, Charles Tinc and Pam of Cherry Valley, NY; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Service dates and times will be announced at a later date.  Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mr. Charles M. Tinc may be made to the Charity of one’s choice.
