Obituary of Patricia Chant

Ms. Patricia L. Chant, 72, of Lafayette Street, Palatine Bridge, New York passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at St. Mary’s Healthcare of Amsterdam with her eldest daughter by her side.

Born on January 2, 1946 in Westfield, NY she was the daughter of the late Richard Loucks and Gladys Redding Loucks. Patricia had been living in Palatine Bridge for the past year, prior to that she had resided in Titusville, Pa.

Patricia was of Methodist faith.  She absolutely loved to cook, was an avid reader, and was interested in all things historical. She also loved her dog, Joy dearly. 

She was pre-deceased by her husband Donald Chant.

Patricia is survived by her daughters; Barbara McGuire of Canajoharie, NY and Carol and Paul Libertucci, (address unknown), Sons; James and his wife Glenna Chant of Millerton, Oklahoma, Donald and his wife Shawna of Tennessee, Larry Loucks of Fresno, CA. Two Stepdaughters Barbara and Judy of Pennsylvania; a Sister Florence Williams of Buffalo, NY; as well as several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family. With inurnment at the Quincy Cemetery. 

In Lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Patricia Chant may be made to the Canajoharie Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 28, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
