Mrs. Cheryl K. Lighthall, 66, formerly of Fredericks Street, Canajoharie, New York died Monday, December 4, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica.
Born on March 3, 1951 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Vernon Wagner and Jean Miller Wagner. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1969 and was a lifetime area resident.
Mrs. Lighthall had worked years ago at Lacelle Labs in addition to being a homemaker.
She was a member of the Ames-Sprout Brook United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Lighthall was a member of The Kurly Q Square Dance Club, and the Tuesday Girl’s Church Group.
On July 4, 1970 at the Ames-Sprout Brook United Methodist Church, Cheryl was married to Robert F. Lighthall. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2004.
Mrs. Lighthall is survived by her son, Timothy W. Lighthall and Tanya of Fort Plain, NY; brother, Vernon Wagner of Palatine Bridge, NY; grandchildren, Lillian Grace Lighthall, Triston Maaser, Dylan Hayes; many nieces, nephews, cousins; as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:00am at Ames Cemetery with Pastor Jan Markle officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
