Obituary of Wavel A. Warner

Mrs. Wavel A. Warner, 84, of Randazzo Road, Manheim, New York died Friday, November 14, 2014 unexpectedly at her home. Born on June 9, 1930 in Ilion, NY, she was the daughter of Elmer J. and Ida Farman. She was a graduate of Ilion High School. Mrs. Warner spent most of her life on Latimer Hill Road and Carlisle Road. She moved back to the Little Falls area 8 years ago. For the past year and a half Mrs. Warner worked at the Cobleskill Walmart as a cleaner, following her retirement from Richardson's/LifeSavers in Canajoharie. She had been at Richardson's for over 20 years, working in the sanitation department. She had also worked for over 20 years at Sentinel in St. Johnsville. Mrs. Warner was predeceased by her husband, David C. Warner, who she married on March 12 in Waterville, NY, on August 29, 1991. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Kathy L. Warner in 1979 and a brother, Floyd Farman. Mrs. Warner is survived by her 3 sons, Steven and Susan Warner of VT, Daniel Warner of Little Falls, NY, Michael Warner of Carlisle, NY; daughter, Wendy Lipkowitz of Cohoes, NY; brother, Roy Farman of Canastota, NY; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2014 at 10:00am at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Burial will take place in Slate Hill Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Wavel A. Warner may be made to the Charity of one's choice.
