Obituary of Raymond W. Weaver

Mr. Raymond W. "Bud" Weaver, Sr., 74, of Hickory Hill Road, Fort Plain, New York passed away surrounded by his family that loved him dearly, at Basset Healthcare of Cooperstown, early in the afternoon of June 10th.
Born on June 27, 1940 in Palatine Bridge, NY, he was the son of John D. Weaver and Hazel C. Crouse Weaver. Bud was a lifetime area resident.
Mr. Weaver worked for the former R.J. Shults Garage for 8 years and had worked for Beech-Nut for 38 years in sanitation and also as a Fork Lift operator. After his retirement he also had worked a number of years for Weaver Sanitation.
Mr. Weaver liked animals and was a member of the Tri-Town Coon Hunter's Club in Fort Plain.
Bud was predeceased by his brothers, Floyd Weaver, Ostrom Weaver, Virgil Weaver, Sr. and his nephew, Virgil Weaver, Jr.
Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife, Minnie M. Weaver of Fort Plain, NY; sons, Raymond, Jr. and wife, Cookie , Son Michael and wife, Mine all of Chesapeake Bay, VA; daughters, Terri and her Husband Tom Wright of Virginia Beach, VA and Lori Timian of NC; brother, Harvey Weaver of Palatine, NY; sisters, Sadie Dillenbeck of Fort Plain, NY, Gertrude Johnson of St. Johnsville, NY, Hazel (Jack) Hyney of Canajoharie, NY, Norma (George) Frasier of Little Falls, NY; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 13th, at 10:00AM
at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday 12th,
From 5-8pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Ephratah Rural Cemetery.
