Mrs. Donna M. Jones, 85, of Brookmans Corner Road, Fort Plain, NY, passed away at St. Mary's Healthcare, Amsterdam, on May 26, 2026. 

She was born on April 22, 1941,  in Ilion, NY, the daughter of the late Floyd Orendorff and Iva Reid Orendorff. 

In 1960, she graduated from Richfield Springs High School. 

She proudly worked at the Richfield Springs Headstart program as a teaching assistant, the Fly Creek Hotel, and the Waterville Knitting Mill. 

Donna lived in the local area her entire life, and enjoyed doing adult coloring books, camping, going antiquing, and splitting wood. 

On December 20, 1979, at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Freysbush, NY, she married Richard D. Jones, Sr. He predeceased her on September 24, 2025.

She was also predeceased by her sister JoAnn Boudry and brother Floyd Orendurff, Jr., son Richard Jones, Jr., daughter Deborah Weaver, son Steven Jones, Sr., daughter Eileen Jones, and granddaughter Tiffany Jones. 

Survivors include her children, Peter Leonard, Bonnie (Mike) Reuss, Jamie Leonard, Phillip Jones (Sarah), Marc Jones Sr., Gary Jones (Charlotte),  a sister, Janet Crouch; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

The family will be hosting a celebration of life on August 8th, from 1:00-5:00 PM at the Canajoharie Moose Lodge, Erie Blvd, Canajoharie, NY 13317. 

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Fort Plain Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
