Carl W. Reese, 55, of Sprakers, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

He was born on March 18, 1971, in Cooperstown, the son of the late David and Rosemary (Field) Reese. Carl was a member of the Labor Union Local 157 in Schenectady and worked for JJP Slipforming Inc. for 20 years. Before that, he worked for Keymark Corporation. In his spare time, Carl enjoyed spending time with his family and admired classic cars. He was Lutheran in faith.

Carl married the love of his life, Kimberley Orengo, on November 19, 1988, at the Canajoharie Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Kimberley Reese; one son, Carl Reese II (Amanda Hurteau); two grandchildren, Carl Reese III and Cassidee Reese; one sister, Andrea Luca (Dominic); grandmother Margaret Siegle; sister-in-law Carmen and her husband Bill Suits; also nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine "Katie" Reese Young.

There are no services planned at this time.
