Sandra F. Swart, 93 of Gloversville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home after a long illness.

Sandra was born May 13, 1932, in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Ralph and the late Elsie (Ryder) Oathout. She lived in Gloversville all her life and attended High School there. Sandra was a loving mother and a homemaker, and she also worked as a cleaner for Kleenmart. In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed painting, puzzles, crocheting, and reading. She was a Jehovah's Witness and attended the Kingdom Hall in Gloversville.

On September 28, 1952, Sandra married Herbert Swart, Jr., who predeceased her on June 26, 2010.

Survivors include her son, Randall Swart of South Carolina; Bradley Swart of Gloversville, NY; Brett (Michele) Swart of Gloversville, NY; Scott (Mandy) Swart of Massena; and Arla (Gregory) Lehr of Mayfield; Thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Shelia Eggleston, and two brothers, Ralph Jr. and Theodore Oathout.

A Memorial Service will be held January 17th, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the Kingdom Hall, 126 S. Kingsboro Ave., Gloversville, NY 12078.  She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
