Joseph D. Carota, 72, recently of Troy, NY, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Joseph was born on September 21, 1953, in Schenectady, NY to the late Anthony Carota, Sr. and Connie Laurenzo Carota. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sandra. 

He is survived by his brother, Anthony, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his caretaker, Bear.

Joseph was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and later attended Bible College. He was the Associate Minister of the Church of the Nazarene in Johnstown, NY, and a past President of the National Association of Christian Ministry of New York. He was also known as Mark Fowler's right-hand man. 

Joseph was the author of the book  "New Testament Psalms." He traveled with the singing group " The King's Messengers". He enjoyed music, Italian food, and loved Snoopy and his 3 cats. 

A going home service and celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 13th, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Nazarene, 3316 State Highway 29W, Johnstown, NY 12095.
