Mrs. Marjory A. Fiske, 85, of Sprakers, NY, passed away at her home on May 28th, 2025.
Mrs. Fiske was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on October 11, 1939, the daughter of Raymond Proctor and Kathleen Fletcher Proctor, both of whom predeceased her in death.
She graduated from Lunenburg High School in Lunenburg, MA, then went on to attend the University of Massachusetts as a Home Economics Major.
She was a lifelong dairy farmer, where she was the owner and operator of Brookwood Farm in the town of Canajoharie, NY. She also served as a county extension agent in Franklin County, MA.
Once she retired, she helped deliver meals to the aging with the Montgomery County Office of the Aging.
Marjory grew up in Lunenburg, MA, and also lived in Shelburne, MA, and Sharon Springs, NY.
While in college, Marge was the starting center on the U-Mass basketball team. After graduation, she played semi-pro basketball in western Massachusetts. She was also passionate about purebred Jersey Cattle, fitting and exhibiting cattle for many years.
Marge was grateful for the lifelong love and support of her siblings, Marilyn MacMillan of Lunenburg, MA, Charles Proctor of Egremont, MA, and Kenneth Proctor of Springfield, MA.
Marge is survived by the families of her three children: Todd Fiske of Crossville, TN, Taryn Cooper of Owego, NY, and Daniel Fiske of Sharon Springs, NY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
