Mr. Daniel Rider, 67, of Route 80, Fort Plain, NY, passed away at his home unexpectedly on Monday, May 11th, 2025.
Daniel was born on July 6th, 1957, in Danbury, Connecticut, the son of the late John H. Rider and Edith S. Read Rider, both of whom predeceased him in death.
He graduated from St. Johnsville High School and lived in the local area his entire life.
He was employed as a supervisor at Helmont Mills in St. Johnsville, NY.
He enjoyed doing yard work and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Wick Rider; 3 daughters, Becky and her husband Scott, Melissa, and Marcia; 2 brothers, Jim Rider and Roger Rider; grandchildren, Ella, Aiden, Kaitlyn, and Nate; stepson Jayson and his wife Carrie Wick; and 2 step grandchildren, Deven and Lorelei.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fort Plain Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
Burial will take place privately at Fort Plain Cemetery.
