Obituary of Judith A. De Vost

Judith A. DeVost, 81, of Nelliston, NY, died peacefully on May 7th, 2025, after a brief illness.

Judith was born in Little Falls, NY, on October 16, 1943, the daughter of Carlton and Beverly Melick.

For 28 years, she worked at St. Mary's Healthcare as a NYS Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CASAC).

She lived her entire life in the local area, and enjoyed being in her backyard by her pool, shopping, and visiting her great-grandchildren.

Judy was predeceased in death by her parents and her sister, Gail Yedinak Elloian.

Survivors include her sons: Matthew P. DeVost, Andrew J. DeVost, and Steven S. and his wife Jackie DeVost; grandchildren: Madison and her husband Joshua Barrow, Evan DeVost, Abbigal DeVost; great-grandchildren Lainey Barrow and Theodore Barrow; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many, many friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at the Fort Plain Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. A Memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.

Burial will take place at Fort Plain Cemetery at a later date.
