Obituary of Robert Guy Spraker, Jr.

Mr. Robert Spraker, Jr., 60, of Fort Plain, died unexpectedly on April 11, 2025.

Robert was born in Amsterdam, NY, on January 17, 1965.  He graduated from Canajoharie High School in 1984 and married his soulmate, Cindy, the same year. 

Robert (Bob) dedicated his life to helping others.  He was an Assistant Residential Manager for Liberty ARC and was recently acknowledged for his 25-year commitment to the agency and the clients he served.  Bob was a dedicated staff member who built strong relationships and provided extensive support to his clients and co-workers alike.

Bob, a committed husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was a selfless man.  He is known for helping anyone who needed it, regardless of what that entailed.  In addition to spending countless hours with his grandchildren, he also liked taking walks, going to Glimmerglass State Park, or simply going out for dinner or ice cream with family.  In addition to being kind, generous, and helpful, he is also known for his sense of humor and ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Cindy Spraker of Fort Plain; their sons: Joshua Spraker (Rachel) of North Carolina, Jeremy Spraker (Derek) of Florida and Jered Spraker (Nicole) of Tribes Hill, his brother, Joseph Lenz (Deana) of Goshen, his cousin, Cindy LaCelle of Nelliston; seven grandchildren: Kameryn, Aleeah, Davian, Riley, Prestyn, Patrick and Naudia.  Bob also left behind his cherished companion, Teddy.

The family will be having a private service at their convenience.

Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317, will handle cremation arrangements.
