Mrs. Barbara A. Sweet, 63, most recently of Willett Street, Fort Plain, NY, passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 15, 2025.

Barbara was born in Gloversville, NY, on July 21, 1961, the daughter of Ricky Johnson and Veronica Seeley Johnson.

Most recently, she had worked at McDonald's in Gloversville, and previously was a mother and homemaker.

She was of Christian faith, enjoyed bowling, baking, and was an avid reader. She was also an honorary member of the Berkshire Fire Dept.

On August 16, 1980, she married Francis Donald Sweet in Gloversville, NY. He predeceased her on December 26, 2000.

She is survived by her two daughters, Ashlee and her husband Matthew Heller, and Leah Sweet. 1 son, Miguel (Summer) Garcia; grandchildren, Trenton, Jackson, Kollin, Dilan, Lucille, Gemini, Nathan, Noelle, Micaela, and Amariah; 2 sisters, Bonnie and her husband Bob Harrison, and Peggy Clark; brother, Ronnie Gardner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will be holding services privately and at their convenience.

Cremation is under the direction of Fort Plain Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
