Mrs. Nellie M. Yacobucci, 92, Canajoharie, NY, died on April 11, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Nellie was born on December 15, 1933, in New York, the daughter of Christmas and Alice Green Desmond.

Mrs. Yacobucci was a graduate of Fultonville High School.

She retired from Lifesavers after 30 years working as a supervisor there.

Nellie lived her entire life in the local area and was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope, Catholic Church, Fort Plain, NY.

She was also the oldest member of the Silver Spurs riding club, of which she had belonged for 50-plus years, a 25-year member of Lifesavers, and enjoyed working on their farm, raising horses, beef cows, and chickens.

On January 1, 1954, at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, she married Alfred Yacobucci, who predeceased her on May 27, 2010.

She was predeceased in death by her brother Roger Desmond, sister Evelyn Hoffman, and son-in-law Danny Mulder.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Charlene Yacobucci; daughter, Julie Mulder; grandchildren, Chris, Patrick, Matthew, Alex, Ashley, and Josh; great grand children; Alexis, William, Lilie, Henrry, Atlas, Jackson, and Daniel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Hope, Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.

Burial will take place at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Cemetery.
