With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Charles E. Ruszkowski, who entered eternal rest on March 13, 2025.
Charles, born August 19, 1941, was the youngest of 7 children and the last Ruszkowski of his generation. He was the son of the late Raymond (Blanche) Ruszkowski and his beloved mother Florence (Keene) Ruszkowski.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Shunk Ruszkowski, and his children: Charlene Ruszkowski, Jeffery Ruszkowski, Lillian Liebing, Dean Stowell, Gary (Jen) Ruszkowski, Laura Snell, and Charles (Tammy) Ruszkowski. Also, Brian (Darcie) Mabie, whom he thought of as a son. Charles was a proud and loving grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Charles took pride in his dedication as well as his work ethic as he retired after 53 years from Richardsons Brands (Formerly Lifesavers) and then kept himself busy mowing local cemeteries.
If you knew "Charlie" you know he loved life and believed it should be lived to the fullest. His free time was doing the things he enjoyed such as hunting, going to camp, playing Bingo with his wife, and taking her hand to glide across the dance floor. In his younger years, he raced Go-Carts in Central Bridge, roller-skated, and played golf. You could be sure to hear him whistling a lively tune at any time. His Memory will be cherished in all our hearts forever.
