Obituary of Kathleen Lee
Kathleen K. Lee, 58, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed away Monday, February 24th, 2025.
As a young girl, Kathleen attended Infant of Prague Catholic School. Growing up, she was highly involved in gymnastics and idolized Nadia Comaneci who was an Olympic Gymnastics champion. Her other interests as a young girl were Girl Scouts, Dancing, and Cheerleading. In 1984, Kathleen was a graduate of Jacksonville High School. She went on to study native American history and Graphic Design.
She is predeceased by her father, Martin Patrick Kelly, Sr., and husband Mark W. Lee. She is survived by her mother, Constance Lee Kelly, daughters Elizabeth Mead and Melody Gullotto (Damien), brother Martin Patrick Kelly, Jr. (Debbie), sisters Lillian Yvonne Negron (John), and Maureen Duncan (Ricky).
Kathleen had a passion for motorcycles and was a member of the Harley Owners Group. She also loved quilting, hunting, the outdoors, and the ocean.
Kathleen's kind heart for animals showed endlessly; if you knew of a stray kitten, she would give it a home, as she saved the lives of many. One of her greatest loves were her Cane Corso fur babies, Lady & Prophet, who stood by her side as guardians and faithful companions upon her passing.
Over the years, she worked in Editorial, Food Service and Retail Management because of her love of serving people. She especially loved serving our Veterans in any way she could.
One quote that she would always say and be remembered by was, "nothing means more to me than the wind in my hair on the back of my Harley."
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to one of her favorite non-profit organizations, "Must Love Corso's Rescue", and "Wounded Warrior Project".
A graveside service will be held on May 3, 2025, at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery at 10:00 am. Local arrangements are under the direction of Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
