Obituary of Wesley Ladd Cook

Mr. Wesley L. Cook, 39, of State Route 5s, Fort Plain, NY passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2025, at St. Mary's Healthcare.

He was born in Gloversville, NY on December 17, 1985, the son of Michael Cook, Sr., and Deborah Floyd Bentz.

Wesley graduated from Canajoharie High School, Class of 2005, and Hudson Valley Community College in 2007.

Most recently, he was a scheduler/planner for All States Material Group, of Amsterdam, NY. For many years prior he had worked for Leroy Holdings as a manager.

Wesley lived in the local area his entire life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and generally being outdoors. He also enjoyed building cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

On December 18, 2011, in Schenectady, NY he married Jill Clayburn.

He was predeceased in death by his father, Michael Cook, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Jill Cook, his mother Deborah Bentz, two sons; James Cook and Nathan Cook; brothers Michael P Cook, Jr., and his wife Misty, and Robert Cook; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 PM at Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. A celebration of his life will follow at the Canajoharie Country Club.
