Mr. Oscar Fox, 90, formerly of Brookmans Corner Road, Fort Plain, NY, passed away on February 18, 2025, at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home.

Mr. Fox was born on January 26, 1935, in Fonda, NY the son of William Harvey Fox and Georgia Rose Hayes Fox.

Oscar attended Fonda area schools until he started farming. He was a dairy farmer his entire working life, and was the owner of Longview Farm, Hallsville, NY, and was the proud recipient of the Soil Conservation Award.

He was known as a kind and helpful man, who loved playing and watching baseball, and later playing in local area full pitch and slowpitch softball leagues. He also enjoyed roller skating and going to his grandchildren's sporting events.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Plain.

On April 21, 1956, in Great Barrington Mass., he married Norma Klock, who survives.

He was predeceased in death by his son, Jeff Fox, on December 1, 2023, and 8 of his brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Norma Fox; daughter Laura (Joe) Budzick; sister Viola Ostrander; grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Fox, Joey (Angela) Fox, Timmy (Jolene) Fox, Rachel Fox, Amanda (Carl) Souza, Jessica (Alfredo) Lopez, Kelly (Kevin) Fletcher; great-grandchildren; Cameron, Brayden, Lillian, Eliana, Francie, Ivan, Wyatt, Henry, Gavin, Ariana, Kaydence, Dominic, Jayden, Austin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangments are under the direction of Fort Plain Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
