Mrs. Cynthia “Fred” DeForest MacPherson, 63, of Ira, Michigan passed away following a long illness, Wednesday, April 7, 2020, with her family by her side. Born on December 29, 1957 in Little Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Cecil DeForest and Elizabeth Becker DeForest Traudt. She was a graduate of Canajoharie High School, Class of 1976. Following High School she moved to Michigan. She was an awesome cook, working at several Restaurants. Cynthia had a passion for cooking. She enjoyed playing Words with Friends with her sister. She had a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. Her parents and sister, Cathy DeForest predeceased her. She is survived by her children, Amanda DeForest of Fort Plain, Heather MacPherson, Celena MacPherson, and James MacPherson, all of Michigan; grandchildren, Lindsey, Brandon, Brooke; step-father, Fritz Traudt of Canajoharie, NY; brothers, Michael Traudt, Mark Traudt; sister, Patricia Greco; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Cynthia DeForest MacPherson may be made to Blue Water Hospice Home, 2795 Edison Drive, Marysville, Michigan, 48040.
