Obituary of Mark Wesley Lee

Mark Wesley Lee Mr. Mark W. Lee , 52, of Cunningham Road, Canajoharie, New York passed away at the Mountain Valley Hospice House in Gloversville, NY early Monday Morning, December 8, 2014 surrounded by his family. Mark was born on July 7, 1962, in Cooperstown, NY, he was the son of Frederick W. Lee, Jr., and the late Carole A. Lee . He attended Canajoharie High School and was a lifelong area resident. Mark started working at the family business, Lee Publications, in Palatine Bridge at the age of 14, learning how to be a pressman. Later on he became the assistant shop foreman, then the shop foreman. and finally becoming the Vice President of Production. Mark was known to be able to fix anything with the presses, or mechanical in and around the shop, a valued skill that will be missed. His knowledge and understanding of the presses showed though when he designed the press layout at Lee Publications. Mark was a member of the Canajoharie Fish and Game Club and The Sacandaga Chapter of H.O.G. , But Mark most enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding his Harley, he also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. While not busy with these activities, Mark also played the Piano, Guitar and Harmonica. On August 21, 2010 at their home, Mark and Kathleen Kelly were united in marriage. Mark was predeceased by his mother, Carole A. Lee on July 9th, 2004. Survivors include, his Wife Kathleen Lee of Canajoharie, NY; His Father Frederick W. Lee, Jr., and his wife Sylvia Lee of St. Johnsville, NY; Daughter Darcie Lee Johnson, Grandchildren, Brandon, Ashlynn & Jayden Johnson, all of Canajoharie, NY; Daughter Kristen Lee, and Grandchildren, Dillon & Katelynn Kruger, all of Canajoharie, NY ; a Sister Janet Lee Stanley and her Husband, Matt Stanley of Whitesboro, NY;A Aunt and uncle ,Ruth and John Snyder of Cherry Valley; A Uncle Alfred Wesley Lee of Port Jarvis, NY, as well as several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 13th, 2014 at 10AM at The Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY with Rev. R.W. Williams officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday December 12th, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Mark W.
